Virgin Atlantic unveils its revamped lounge at Heathrow – with new cinema, work pods and spa

Virgin Atlantic has introduced a newly renovated Clubhouse at London Heathrow, now equipped with a cinema zone, VIP section, and a spa featuring a curated array of treatments. This transformation marks the first stage of a significant overhaul aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and experience.

Enhanced facilities for Upper Class passengers

Upper Class travelers will now benefit from upgraded amenities and personalized services within the ground-level lounge. The redesign includes plush seating and tailored offerings designed to elevate their stay.

Exclusive Royal Box experience

Derived from the airline’s Los Angeles Clubhouse, the London location introduces a Royal Box area that redefines the VIP concept with a dramatic, theater-like ambiance. This private space, reserved for select guests, offers a secluded retreat with unobstructed views of the runway.

The area is adorned with velvet-covered sofas in Virgin’s signature red hue and a central ‘Cabinet of Curiosities,’ which showcases an assortment of gourmet sweets and champagne-serving stations. This detail adds a touch of indulgence and sophistication to the lounge’s layout.

Work Pod studios for productivity

Two dedicated work pods have been added, each offering integrated power outlets and modern desk setups. These spaces are designed with a minimalist aesthetic, featuring ‘on air’ indicators to signal availability and art displays inspired by Virgin Records.

Refurbished cinema for relaxation

The Cinema has been reimagined as a cozy, immersive environment for unwinding. It includes improved sound systems, royal blue armchairs, and red sofas, along with charging stations, TV access, and Bluetooth headphones to cater to diverse guest needs.

Wellness pop-ups for temporary respite

Guests can now enjoy complimentary sessions in one of three Somadomes, the world’s first immersive wellness domes, until 31 May. These pop-up experiences provide a sanctuary for relaxation, blending light therapy, color, sound healing, and meditation to foster calm and focus.

Additionally, the Secret Spa is offering a selection of treatments, such as express massages and glow-enhancing facials, at the Clubhouse until 30 April. To coincide with the airline’s new Seoul route, experts will be available to administer OSKIA skincare, OPI nail products, and renowned K-beauty brands.

“The Clubhouse is an iconic part of the Virgin Atlantic experience, and we’re proud to be unveiling a bold new chapter at Heathrow. This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment, and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can. And this is just the beginning – with even more exciting plans to come, including new ways for guests to make the most of plane spotting while soaking up the London sunshine from our roof terrace,” said Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer at Virgin Atlantic.
