Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

A 27-year-old man from Enfield has been formally accused of murdering Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old film student who died after being stabbed in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near a popular viewing area in north London on Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police. Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu was arrested on Friday and charged with murder on Sunday. He is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Officers also found another man, in his early 20s, with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road on the same day. While he was hospitalized, his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. A separate 25-year-old suspect, initially detained for aiding the offender, has been released without further charges. The police confirmed the investigation remains active.

Family’s Emotional Response

“Fin was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” said Chris Sullivan, 65, Finbar’s father, speaking to BBC London. He described his son as a cherished figure among peers and family, emphasizing the profound impact of the loss.

Sullivan was a student at the London Screen Academy. The case has sparked community concern, with authorities urging for continued support in the ongoing inquiry. Updates from the police will be shared as more information emerges.
