Fourth suspect arrested over Jewish charity ambulance arson attack
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed the arrest of a fourth individual tied to the recent arson incident involving ambulances operated by a Jewish charity in north London. This development came after a man was observed exiting the courthouse escorted by law enforcement officers on Saturday morning.
Three suspects already in custody
Westminster Magistrates’ Court revealed that three others involved in the attack had appeared in court earlier that day and were remanded in custody. Among them are two British men, Hamza Iqbal, 20, and Rehan Khan, 19, alongside a 17-year-old boy with dual British-Pakistani nationality. All three face charges of arson with intent to damage property and being reckless about potential harm to life.
“There is robust evidence the attack was a ‘premeditated and targeted strike against the Jewish community,’” the court stated during proceedings.
Earlier this week, two additional suspects—aged 45 and 47—were apprehended and granted bail pending further investigation, which extends until late April. The incident has raised concerns about deliberate acts of violence against Jewish institutions, with authorities emphasizing the organized nature of the crime.
