Allegations of Tax Evasion Linked to Reform UK Deputy Leader
The Sunday Times claims that a company connected to Richard Tice, Reform UK’s deputy leader and business spokesperson, may have violated tax laws by not remitting a 20% withholding tax on dividends received by Tice and his offshore trust. The report states that Quidnet REIT Limited, the property investment firm in question, transferred profits to Tice without the required levy, resulting in at least £91,000 in unaccounted payments.
“This is just an attempt to smear a successful businessman turned politician who gives hope to millions of people,” Tice stated in the article, insisting that all revenue and customs obligations had been fulfilled.

She argues that Women and Equalities Minister Bridget Phillipson is obstructing the release of the policy, fearing it might impact her prospects for promotion. Phillipson previously noted that additional time was needed to perfect the updated code, according to the report.

This is attributed to the UK fleet’s current difficulty in managing operational commitments. In response, the Ministry of Defence denied the need for French involvement, asserting that British waters are under consistent surveillance and that sufficient resources exist to maintain national security.
Chagos Islands Deal Shifts as US-Iran Peace Talks Begin
The Sunday Express reports on what it calls a “U-turn of all U-turns” following Sir Keir Starmer’s decision to abandon the Chagos Islands agreement. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch claims this marks a victory for the prime minister, citing her party’s “relentless” opposition to the deal. However, the Observer notes that the agreement remains under consideration, suggesting a potential decline in US-UK diplomatic ties.
