Tributes to ‘fun, bright’ boy, 13, killed in crash

The family of a 13-year-old boy who lost his life in a tragic collision has honored him as a ‘fun, bright, handsome, athletic’ individual deeply cherished by those around him.

Noah Campbell, 13, perished in a collision involving a car, bicycle, and scooter on Greenfield Road in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, at 23:50 BST on Friday. Two other teenagers were hospitalized following the incident, sustaining severe injuries.

In a statement released by authorities, Noah’s family expressed their profound grief, stating they were ‘utterly devastated’.

Noah’s death has left a hole in our lives that will remain forever.

The tribute was shared on Sunday, coinciding with police announcements that a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman had been charged regarding the accident on Greenfield Road.

Jamie Fountain, from Fir Tree Close, Flitwick, faces charges including causing death by careless driving, as well as causing death by careless driving while exceeding the legal limit for alcohol and drugs. Additionally, he is charged with two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving involving the two other boys. Fountain also bears charges of failing to stop at the accident scene, neglecting to report the incident, and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Ellie Ireland, residing in Wingate Drive, Ampthill, is charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Both individuals have been granted bail and are scheduled to appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

One of the two hospitalized boys remains in critical condition, while the other was treated for serious injuries and has since been discharged, according to police.
